Description:

This is a great beginner saltwater river bikeraft route.  There are plenty of water access points to exit the water if needed.  The bike ride is very scenic along the water.  Watch the tide table for large swings between High and Low tides and hit the saltwater river at maximum current.  The bridge foundations build up some impressive waves if the tide swing is big.  There is a power-pole that can be used to lock a bike at the Tracyton boat-ramp.  At Bachman Park there are railings and other features to lock a bike.

PRO Tip: During a flood tide be sure plan to start your paddle at Bachmann Park and finish at Tracyton. During an ebb tide you will want to plan the paddle for the reverse direction. This is the beauty of this route depending on the tidal conditions the saltwater river runs both directions.
